One of my new travelling t-shirts arrived today from one of the few Life is Good affiliates that actually ship outside the Yew-nigh-ted Staaaytes.

Sometimes, it sucks to be a Canadian....

...but don't tell anyone I said that, eh?

These days, changes settling in, choices reinforcing their timing, chances taken paying inner dividends, every day, all days, almost every minute of every hour...

took me ages to even partially convince vanessa that she shouldn't try to pre-buy every single possible thing for her trip.

buy only the emergency stuff and the hard-to-buy stuff before you go. first aid, betadine(!!!), mossie net, underpants and socks and boots. all the rest, buy as you go. a/ it will cost you much much less b/ every time you pull that piece on in future, it will remind you of this moment in your journey, will flash you back to the time and that emotion.

why bother travelling in insulation?
